germinait, together with its scientific board and collaborators, has demonstrable expertise in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Optimisation, Planning, Agent and Multiagent Systems, Decision Theory, Game Theory, Mechanism Design and Agent Mediated E-commerce. We use this expertise in the development of products in a variety of application areas like supply chain planning and management, stock and commodity trading, online advertising and personal financial planning.
We have applied our expertise in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning to build a platform for the analysis of unstructured text. This has been applied in the tracking of the 2009 Indian Elections (ElectionTracker) and to the analysis of open-ended questions in Employee Satisfaction Surveys.
Using our expertise in Optimisation and Decision Theory, we have built a system for the automated rostering of temporary workers to jobs based on their skills, availability and other parameters. The system has been designed such that managers can flexibly update the optimisation criteria on the fly without the need for reprogramming. For instance, minimize threats to the schedule instead of maximizing profit.
We have also demonstrated our expertise in Mechanism Design by building an Auction Platform that supports and runs various kinds of auctions like English auctions, Dutch auctions, Second Price auctions and Combinatorial auctions.
